Finding Tests and Measures by Topic The first step in getting ahold of a test is to identfy the test's title, author and/or publisher. Here are some places to start looking: Test Critiques Tests in Print Tests Online PsycInfoUnder "More Search Options" select the option to browse tests and measures Mental Measurements Yearbook Tips on Locating Tests and Measures Once you've identified the name, author, and/or publisher of a test, here are some ways to find a copy of the test: Contact the publisher of the test. Many tests are available for purchase through the publisher. The Test Collection at ETS has information on locating information on standardized tests and research instruments. Search Dissertations and Theses Full-Text. There is a possibility that graduate students have used the test you are looking for in their dissertations. If that is the case, the test might be found within the appendices of the dissertation. Search Google. Try searching the name of the test in quotation marks to see if it is available online. |
