K-State Libraries policies have dictated that we conform to national standards and use successive entry cataloging for titles added to our database. However, under certain circumstances we will choose latest entry. Candidates for this type of treatment should be forwarded to the Serials Cataloger.
Latest entry CANNOT be used in the following situations:
Additionally, should latest entry cataloging create a lengthy or complicated record; or, the scope of the serial changes drastically, successive entry cataloging is recommended.
