Coding the MARC Holdings 007

Print Monographs and Serials | Computer Files | Microforms | Sound Recordings | Video Recordings

Copy catalogers are responsible for coding the MARC holdings 007 for non-print materials, loose-leafs, braille or large print materials. Print titles that are regular print are NOT recorded. Properly coded holdings records are essential to accurate reporting of collection statistics for a variety of annual reports (including national surveys of academic libraries). This document shows examples of the most-commonly-used formats on VOYAGER.
